CELEBRATING COMMUNITY IMPACT: A LOOK BACK AT DAY OF CARING 2026
On Saturday, September 12, our community came together at the YMCA of Ithaca and Tompkins County for a memorable and impactful Day of Caring! The day was filled with connection, generosity, and fun for all ages.
A Fun-Filled Day for a Great Cause
Attendees enjoyed a vibrant day packed with activities:
- Community Carnival: Kids and families made lasting memories with face painting and a bounce house.
- Nonprofit Tabling: Local organizations connected with residents to share vital resources and support services available across Tompkins County and offered fun games for all ages.
- Food and Community: Folks gathered to enjoy great food and celebrate the spirit of giving back.
- Raffles: Several local organizations and individuals donated beautiful gift baskets and other items attendees could win through raffle ticket purchases to benefit the United Tompkins Impact Fund.
Drive Success: Over 1,100 Items Collected!
Thanks to our community’s remarkable generosity, our personal care product drive was a resounding success! Volunteers worked hard throughout the day sorting over 1,100 donated personal care items.
Through our collaboration with TST BOCES, these essential items are being distributed directly to students and families in need right here in Tompkins County.
Impact Fund Raffle
Adding to the excitement, we raffled off 12 fantastic items, including a baker’s gift basket, wines, and more! Every dollar raised through the raffle goes directly to support critical human service programming across our community through the United Tompkins Impact Fund.
