Mission of the Village at Ithaca:

The Village at Ithaca is primarily a volunteer community-based organization advocating for equity and excellence in Ithaca’s public schools by developing strategic community relationships, programs, and services to ensure that students, particularly Black, Latino, and low-income students, consistently meet or exceed local and New York state standards of achievement.  Since 2002, this grass roots initiative has been recognized for its efforts to address systemic issues and promote greater community involvement in public education.
