United Way is the easiest and most effective way to help people in our community.   Meeting Needs Across Tompkins County   United Way fund distribution volunteers allocate contributions from our Community Care Fund to help people in Dryden, Enfield, Groton, Ithaca, Lansing, Trumansburg and every area of our County.   Bringing People Together to Build a Stronger Community   From high school students to retirees, people from across Tompkins County come together at United Way. With different experiences and views, they are able to accomplish more than any one individual or organization could alone.   Volunteers Make the Difference   The key component is caring, dedicated and talented people voluntarily working to build a healthier community. Without these volunteers, our United Way would not exist. In partnership with the member organizations, these volunteers and United Way staff join with schools, government, civic and community leaders to make Tompkins County a better place to live.
