The Ithaca Breast Cancer Alliance is dedicated to providing support, education and advocacy for all Tompkins County people facing the breast cancer epidemic. Among the organization’s clients are people who have chosen many different paths of treatment. The agency is united in the fundamental belief that each person must decide individually which treatment is best, and does not advocate one treatment (conventional, complementary, alternative) over another. Ithaca Breast Cancer Alliance supports people in their individual choices.

Foodnet provides nutrition services to older adults throughout Tompkins County. Meals in community centers improve participants' health and prevent more costly interventions. Home delivered nutrition services, including Meals on Wheels, enable older adults to avoid or delay costly institutionalization and allow them to stay in their homes or communities. Other services include nutrition screening, assessment, education, and nutrition counseling. The purposes of these programs are to improve health, improve dietary intakes, offer participants opportunities to form new friendships, encourage informal support systems, and link participants to other health and supportive services.

Tompkins Community Action is a private, not-for-profit charitable organization that began in 1966 as a grassroots effort to improve the lives of low-income children, families, and individuals in Tompkins County. The organization is one of nearly 1,000 Community Action Agencies (CAAs) in the US. Each year over 5,000 individuals and families go to Tompkins Community Action for assistance. The agency currently operates about 20 programs to assist these friends and neighbors. The programs offered today may be very different from those offered in 1966, but that's because the needs of our community are different. As a Community Action Agency, the organization is flexible and can tailor its programs to the changing needs of our community.

BROOKTONDALE COMMUNITY COUNCIL
The center serves as a gathering place for year-round activities for area residents and offers summer camp for children ages 4-12 years and an informational newsletter.
DANBY COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Provides a variety of summer youth and adult recreational activities, nursery school program and senior citizen activities.
DRYDEN COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Provides youths aged 5-12 with summertime activities and programs. Assists Dryden residents with special needs and supports the Kitchen Cupboard Food Pantry.
ENFIELD COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Provides daycare and enrichment activities for preschool and school-age children, summer camp, teen program, and a newsletter for residents of the Town of Enfield.
FREEVILLE COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Offers summer recreation for area youth and a parent cooperative nursery school. Also, supports scholarships for summer camp and nursery school.
GROTON COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Supports a variety of youth service programs for ages 6-17, including summer recreation.
LANSING COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Supports a drop-in center for toddlers and preschool children, older adult advocacy program, summer recreation for youth and emergency aid fund.
McLEAN COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Offers a community hall for local events and a summer recreation program for youth.
NEWFIELD COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Provides a variety of programs including before and after school daycare, summer recreation, day camp and reading programs.
SOUTHSIDE COMMUNITY CENTER
Provides community programs including a bicycle recycling program, food pantry and senior citizens food shopping service.
ULYSSES COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Provides youth programs, nursery school, after-school day care, outreach reading programs, Christmas Bureau and a food pantry.
